Is there an example that illustrates using automatic and manual encoding/decoding of PDU objects with OpenType values?

Yes, there is such an example. It demonstrates automatic and manual encoding/decoding of a PDU object that has an open type value field. The output that this example generates is captured in topen.out.

To make it easier for you to run the example from the command line, two scripts are included, a Unix .sh and a Windows .bat.

To run it on a Unix platform, cd to the topen directory and type:

./run.sh

To run it on Windows, cd to the topen directory and type:

run

To do a cleanup on Windows, type:

run cleanup

To do a cleanup on Unix, type:

./run.sh cleanup
